Thursday Evening

Anyone passing the lake during Thursday afternoon might have been forgiven for assuming racing in the fourth round of the Night Jar would be a test of resolve and endurance. The wind was cold and blustery ; the water grey and choppy. However, the reality was that the race was more a test of patience than anything else, as the wiind had all but evaporated. Eleven boats took to the water, under the watchful eye of Captain Macpherson. Neil and Judith Currie led the fleet home, but were second to Jack and Joan Hardie on both fleet and personal handicap. Third, on PH were Alan and Sue - while John Crosbie was third on FH.

Changing Rooms

We have entered the next phase of the changing room upgrade; snagging and the introduction of unisex changing!

Due to a problem with the Gents' flooring, remedial works are presently being undertaken and there will be no access to the Gents' this weekend. Although Unisex could be the modern day option, it could be a step too far, so to best deal with the typical numbers and mix of sailors it is proposed to allow the men to commandeer the Ladies', and the women to use the disabled toilet this weekend 12/13 May.

The training session on Saturday morning may need some form of rota system to cope with the numbers, but that will be managed as appropriate.

The poor forecast suggests that it may only be an issue on Saturday as Sunday's racing could be blown off! Please bear/bare with us (even if it is in your separate area!).

Thank you
